DESCRIPTION

EGMS (Ethylene Glycol Mono Stearate) is a functional additive used primarily as a pearlescent and opacifying agent in personal care and cosmetic formulations. In cosmetic applications, EGMS (Ethylene Glycol Mono Stearate) supports stable pearlescent effects and helps maintain consistent product aesthetics during processing and storage.

  • State: Flakes
  • Melting Range: 56 to 64 degrees Celsius
  • Acid Value: Max. 5 mgKOH/g
  • Mono content: Less than 35%
  • Diester Content: Less than 70%
  • Iodine value: Max. 2
  • pH (5% Dispersion) 25 degrees Celsius: 4 to 8
  • Saponification: 175 -190

HEAVY METALS / MICROBIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS

  • Arsenic: Less than 3mg/kg
  • Lead: Less than 1mg/kg
  • Mercury: Less than 1mg/kg
  • Cadmium: Less than 1mg/kg

EGMS APPLICATIONS 

  • As a pearlizing agent in Shampoos, liquid soaps, bath and shower gels.
  • As an opacifier, creams, lotions, and conditioners

STORAGE/ SHELF LIFE

To be stored in a cool & dry place, 25 - 30 degrees Celsius. 12 months from the date of manufacturing.
